On the morning of December 20th, the signing and unveiling ceremony of the cooperation project between the Hong Kong Polytechnic University Wuxi Science and Technology Innovation Research Institute and the university was successfully held in the Airport Economic Development Zone.

Sun Lei, Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Wuxi High tech Zone and Deputy Head of Xinwu District, expressed a warm welcome to the leaders and guests who came to the event on behalf of Wuxi High tech Zone in his speech. He pointed out that the interaction between the “Pearl of the Taihu Lake Lake” and the “Pearl of the East” has stimulated the surging momentum of school local cooperation. Vice President of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Zhao Ruheng, stated in his speech that the Wuxi Institute of Science and Technology Innovation of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University will uphold the development concept of “open cooperation and innovation driven”, fully leveraging the advantages of universities in talent cultivation and technological innovation. By maintaining close cooperation with Wuxi High tech Zone, we aim to promote more breakthroughs from 0 to 1 and industrial applications from 1 to 10, laying a solid foundation for future industrial technology strategies.

In this event, Rheingold and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University Wuxi Institute of Science and Technology Innovation successfully signed a contract and unveiled the plaque. The two sides will jointly establish the Intelligent Manufacturing Joint Laboratory (Wuxi), relying on the industrial and talent needs of Wuxi and its surrounding areas, focusing on cultivating high-end application technology talents, better serving national strategies, and promoting industrial development.

In the presence of Tang Jun, President of Rheingold China, Professor Zhao Ruheng, Vice President and Chair Professor of Thermal and Environmental Engineering at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and Professor Wen Fenzhong, Dean of the School of Engineering at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Dean of the Wuxi Institute of Science and Technology Innovation at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Jiang Han, General Manager of Rheingold Digital Business Unit, and Dr. Zheng Pai, Associate Professor of the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Project Leader of the Intelligent Manufacturing and Robotics Center at the Wuxi Institute of Science and Technology Innovation at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, signed the contract on behalf of both the university and the enterprise.
