On December 7, 2024, the 6th Shandong Province Industrial Engineering Application Case Competition and the Industrial Engineering Industry Education Integration Development Forum under the Background of “Digitalization and Greening” were successfully held at the Sino German Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Education Integration Demonstration Base under the “Rheingold Cup”.

This event is jointly hosted by the Industrial Engineering Branch of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering and the Shandong Society of Mechanical Engineering, organized by the School of Management of Shandong University of Technology, named by Rheingold, and co organized by multiple industrial engineering universities and enterprises.

On behalf of the school, Deputy Secretary Su Shoubo expressed warm congratulations on the successful hosting of the competition and forum. He introduced the development process and achievements of Shandong University of Technology, and pointed out that the successful holding of this event is of great significance for gathering industry wisdom, exploring new models of industry education integration, and promoting innovative development of industrial engineering education.

Academician He Zhen stated in his speech that since its establishment in 2018, the Shandong Industrial Engineering Application Case Competition has become an important provincial-level event, which is of great significance for testing innovation capabilities in the field of industrial engineering and practicing the concept of industry education integration and collaborative education.

Chairman Lin Jianghai emphasized in his speech that this event actively responds to the country’s strategic layout for industrial engineering, promoting learning and teaching through competition. It is a comprehensive test of the professional skills and innovative spirit of teachers and students, as well as a deep exploration of the innovative spirit and social responsibility.

Chairman Cui Zhi stated that this event is not only an academic and practical feast, but also an opportunity to promote innovative development in the field of industrial engineering. The competition is divided into three tracks: undergraduate group, graduate group, and enterprise group. After intense competition, a total of 6 first prizes and 9 second prizes were awarded to undergraduate students; 3 first prizes and 5 second prizes in the graduate group; Two first prizes in the enterprise group. At the closing ceremony, the attending guests presented certificates of honor to the award-winning contestants.
